About The Position

The Maintenance Technician (Maintenance Tech III) will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment to support the site’s business goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • 5 + years Electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • 5 + years Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial Mechanic Associate Degree preferred (i.e. Electronics Engineering Technology).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Perform highly diversified tasks to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment and machinery.
  • These duties include but are not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment during scheduled downtime.
  • Equipment includes manual and computer numerically controlled machinery.
  • Work with outside vendors/suppliers in the installation, repair, and adjustment of machinery.
  • Record parts and materials used, and order or requisition parts and materials as necessary.
  • Communicate among work team by documenting actions, and sharing information and knowledge of equipment and processes.
  • Assists other Technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment.
  • Completes work orders, records, logs and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.
  • Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) and diagnostic tools (e.g. multi-meter, laptop).
  • Operates material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment (e.g., pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, electronic and electrical equipment, etc.) according to safety and quality procedures.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs complex electrical/electronic problems with equipment, networks, PC logic controls, Programmable Logic.
  • Maintains inventory of spare parts for critical machines.
  • Adheres to all department and company standards, operating procedures and safety requirements while contributing to improvement.
  • May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
  • Analyzes and troubleshoots reoccurring issues and creates an ROI to support the change.
