About The Position

The Maintenance Technician III is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of all Agency facilities. The role includes timely maintenance, repair, and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment to support a safe and efficient environment for staff and visitors.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Four years of maintenance or construction experience.
Arizona driver’s license with a clean driving record; must be at least 21 years old.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to perform general electrical and plumbing work.
Ability to operate basic shop tools and equipment.
Ability to work accurately and with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of general carpentry and state and city codes.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends on-call.
Must obtain and maintain an Arizona Level 1 fingerprint clearance and pass a background check.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on facilities and equipment.
Respond to repair requests and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure facility areas meet cleanliness and safety standards.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical systems as needed.
Collaborate with vendors and contractors when specialized repairs are required.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with agency policies and regulations.
Maintain landscaping.
Maintain inventory and MSDS sheets of custodial supplies.
Make minor repairs to basic shop tools and equipment.
