This role involves performing basic plant maintenance, repair, and installation tasks. The technician will be responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery, mechanical, and electrical equipment, troubleshooting equipment breakdown problems, and inspecting, testing, and operating machinery and equipment before releasing it to manufacturing. Duties include replacing electrical components, motors, installing belts, tightening nuts and bolts, adjusting and aligning rolls and rollers, and replacing defective parts. The position requires the use of various hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment. The technician must also detect faulty operations, defective material, and report unusual situations to supervision. Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing AC and DC motors and controls are key responsibilities. Adherence to safety guidelines is mandatory, and other duties may be assigned.
