Maintenance Tech I - Day Shift
About The Position
Quanex is looking for a Maintenance Technician – Day Shift to join our team located onsite in St. Cloud, Minnesota. In this role, you will repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment while resolving complex issues related to motors, pneumatics, tools, conveyer systems, and production machines. Responsibilities will also include building and grounds maintenance. You are the driving force for improvement in your department. You must project a positive attitude, be open and willing to help others, be flexible, have excellent attendance and comply with all safety rules and procedures, while ensuring your team is following them as well.
Requirements
- High School education or equivalent required
- Intermediate level of experience with electrical and mechanical applications, as well as experience with mechanical and hand tools for equipment repair.
- 3+ years industrial maintenance experience, required
- Excellent communication skills, computers/systems skills, and organization skills
Nice To Haves
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience, preferred
- Must be flexible with hours across all shifts to train and coach.
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment
- Resolve complex issues related to motors, pneumatics, tools, conveyer systems, and production machines
- Building and grounds maintenance
- Leads and promotes a culture of safety first
- Maintains, repairs, and modifies extruders, pullers, calibration tables, saws, etc.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts
- Repairs and reconditions hydraulic/pneumatic systems
