Requirements

  • Millwright Certificate of Qualification 443A or Provincial Electricians Ticket (309A or 442-A)
  • 3-5 years of related work experience required
  • Previous supervisory experience required
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing maintenance equipment required
  • Ability to provide guidance, coaching and mentorship to team
  • Computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Office required
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Must be results and team oriented
  • Must be safety conscious and reliable

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring all processes and equipment are maintained with a minimum of down time to maximize production yield
  • Schedule, maintain and improve the Preventative Maintenance program to avoid downtime
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment in a timely manner
  • Responsible for safety standards through safety talks, accident/incident reporting, Safety Person of the Month (SPOTMs), weekly safety inspections and daily team meetings
  • Responsible for training, performance feedback, succession planning, counselling, discipline, safety, orientation, assigning, checking and scheduling of work
  • Perform layered Process Audits (LPA) and 5S audits
  • Responsible for ordering and tracking of equipment parts and supplies
  • Responsible for administering company policies and departmental procedures
  • Track team hours for payroll, distribution of overtime, vacation scheduling and floaters
  • Support of all required cross-functional teams
  • Support Continuous Improvement ideas and submissions
  • Perform weekly safety audits and follow all audits to completion
  • Develop and maintain management systems to further lead continuous improvement results
  • Other duties as assigned
