About The Position

The Team Lead is to assist the Maintenance Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Maintenance Department. They must be able to perform all tasks normally assigned to the Manager in his/her absence. The Team Lead is responsible for ensuring proper PPE is worn for protection against safety hazards and for environmental compliance regarding oils, solvents, and other hazardous materials. The Maintenance Manager is to be informed of any issues requiring attention.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems used on equipment such as extruders, bellers and saws.
• Be able to build custom control panels from scratch for newly purchased machinery, safety equipment, lighting, etc.
• Ability to modify and/or write small PLC Programs or Relay Logic Programs.
• Be able to direct and utilize employees according to their individual skill sets to achieve the most production from each individual.
• Be able to prioritize problems to best suit the needs of the plant operation to keep production at a high level.
• Four years of industrial mechanical and electrical experience, or college electives in industrial mechanical and electrical courses.

Responsibilities

• Have tools needed to perform assigned task.
• Ensure all personnel and equipment are working safely and efficiently at all times.
• Have a good understanding of the company handbook, policies, and procedures.
• Fill in for maintenance manager when they are out of the office.
• Any other duties assigned by your manager.
