JOB TITLE DESCRIPTION: 1.1 The Maintenance Supervisor or designate, is responsible to ensure that equipment is repaired in an efficient manner to reduce downtime. 2. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: 2.1 This position Directly reports to: Maintenance Facility Manager 3. RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES: The responsibilities and authorities for this position include, but are certainly not limited to: 3.1 Oversee and assist in the electrical, PLC, pneumatic, and general repair by maintenance of all equipment. 3.2 Ensure preventative maintenance of equipment is performed within manufacturers specifications. 3.3 Ensure personal and associate awareness and understanding of ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 (includes ISO 9001) Standards, and company policies and procedures. 3.4 Assigning tasks to maintenance technicians on a daily basis. 3.5 Responsible for tracking Maintenance Technician work schedules and entering time into the payroll system. 3.6 Coordinating all Technician activities of the maintenance department. 3.7 Comply with established rules, procedures, and Health and Safety Mandates. 3.8 Ensure equipment is in good mechanical condition to provide safe operation. 3.9 Oversee the Preventive Maintenance System including printing, closing, and monitoring PM completion status. 3.10 During management system audit events provide evidence in support of conformance with applicable standards and procedures and participate in corrective action activities as necessary. 3.11 Spill procedures/ Transfer of Hazardous Materials. 3.12 Oversee Contractors during install and repair of equipment. 3.13 Ensure that all employees receive proper training and understand all job tasks and act as a trainer in various areas of expertise. 3.14 Ensure that all employees comply with the Occupational Health & Safety Act. 3.15 Ensure that a clean and safe work environment is always maintained. 3.16 Ensure that sufficient resources are available for each department including training, safety requirements, personnel, work instructions, procedures, and related tools. 3.17 Assist in any way to any employee, necessary to promote a successful operation emphasizing customer satisfaction. 3.18 Promote an atmosphere of teamwork at all times. 3.19 Abide by the Company Value Statement and the Company Standard Code of Conduct. 3.20 Complete any other duties as assigned. 4. HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES: 4.1 The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for complying with the Company Health & Safety Program including Occupational Health & Safety Legislation, regulations, standards, and Company Health & Safety policies. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR DESIGNATION REQUIREMENTS: This position requires the following minimum education qualifications: 5.1 Must possess a secondary school diploma or equivalent. 6. MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: This position requires the following minimum work experience qualifications: 6.1 Must have 8 -10 years process control and troubleshooting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity. 6.2 Experience with PLC (Rockwell, Omron), Robotics (ABB, FANUC) is preferred 6.3 Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal. 6.4 Have an excellent working knowledge and understanding of all equipment and computer. 6.5 Knowledgeable in integrated manufacturing technology as it relates to the facility. 7. MINIMUM TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: This position requires the following minimum training: 7.1 Country specific Hazardous Communications (SDS, HAZCOM) 7.2 Quality, Environmental Health and Safety and other relevant Company policy awareness 7.3 New Employee Orientation 7.4 Lock Out / Tag Out 7.5 Transportation of Dangerous Goods 7.6 Lift Truck Certification 8. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: 8.1 Understanding of expectations detailed through Organization Statements, Standards, Visions, Policies and Procedures (i.e. Mission, Values, Code of Conduct, Operational, Quality, and Environmental Health & Safety) as referenced in Employee Handbooks and communicated through Orientation and/or other training awareness opportunities. 8.2 Additional training requirements may be identified based on plant-specific location and/or operational needs that are commensurate with the duties, expectations, and responsibilities of the role within the specific plant. 8.3 Ability to perform well in high pressure situations. 8.4 Possess sound financial and business insights. 8.5 Meets expectation rating (rating score of 2 or 3) in all applicable Competencies as defined in the Performance Management Process. 8.6 Capable of independent travel to, from and within designated regions 8.7 Access to reliable transportation 8.8 Must be capable of performing the essential duties which include maximum safe lifts to the 75th percentile of the employee as determined by acceptable standards. 8.9 Must be able to be a leader to all employees. 8.10 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms.
