About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor oversees maintenance employees on assigned shifts to ensure effective maintenance services and support production in a 24-hour, 7-day-per-week operation. The role plans, assigns, and directs work; coordinates weekly CI meetings; addresses product and employee complaints; and resolves problems. Supervisory responsibilities are carried out in accordance with company policies, OSHA regulations, applicable laws, CI processes, and the Management Operating Structure (MOS). The supervisor collaborates with the plant engineer, maintenance manager, and facility management to improve employee safety, production quality, equipment reliability, equipment utilization, and overall equipment effectiveness. The position oversees maintenance and site capital projects and applies mechanical and electrical expertise to production systems, utilities, buildings, and grounds. It uses a computerized maintenance management system to optimize asset utilization through scheduled preventive maintenance and implements corrective actions based on maintenance performance indicators. The role ensures corporate policies and standards are followed in capital projects and daily maintenance, stays current with relevant industry regulations and codes, and shares maintenance best practices. It also handles management activities such as planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and delegating, and manages employee selection, retention, development, discipline, and performance. Where a collective bargaining agreement exists, the supervisor may participate in negotiations, grievances, or related discussions. The position promotes continuous improvement, follows Good Manufacturing Practices and sanitation and quality policies, and maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe work area. It is responsible for food safety, prerequisite programs, and food quality in the designated area, and requires following applicable safe-work practices, including required PPE, confined-space safety, safe chemical handling, and fall restraints. Other duties may be assigned. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Salary is $76,000 per year.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred, or a minimum of 2 years of plant experience.
Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices.
Experience leading and following safety and security policies and procedures.
Ability to follow sanitation and quality policies and procedures, and report and follow through on deficiencies.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs and lead others through change.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.
Ability to work as a team player and leader across multiple functions and disciplines.
Ability to select, coach, develop, engage, and retain a team of employees.
Must pass all pre-employment screens, including drug, background, and criminal checks.

Identify opportunities to improve processes using a continuous improvement mindset.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and sanitation and quality policies and procedures.
Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area; follow required safe-work practices and use required PPE in designated areas.
Take responsibility for food safety, prerequisite programs, and food quality in the designated area.
Perform other duties as assigned.
