About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for purchasing and evaluating repair parts, maintaining strong vendor relationships to reduce company costs, and conducting research and development for the department. This role involves overseeing the SAP PM system, managing the maintenance crib, and assisting the Maintenance Manager with various initiatives like the 'Top Ten List' and charting maintenance measurables. The supervisor will also lead maintenance and set-up teams in implementing Lean principles, Quick Change Technology, Total Predictive Maintenance, Cell Design, and 5S. The employee must adhere to safety, environmental, quality, productivity, and performance standards, and overtime may be required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of OSHA guidelines
  • Must be able to troubleshoot machinery
  • Must have proficient blueprint reading skills
  • Must be able to read electrical schematics
  • Must be able to read hydraulic prints

  • Preferred 2-year technical degree

Responsibilities

  • Oversee inputting of machinery and creation of PM schedules in the SAP PM System.
  • Conduct research and development for parts and equipment.
  • Maintain the maintenance crib.
  • Work closely with vendors to purchase the best quality parts at the best price.
  • Maintain keys and security records.
  • File and maintain Maintenance PM records.
  • Maintain the database for the “Asset Management Program”.
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager with the scheduling of the “Top Ten List”.
  • Help chart the Maintenance measurables for BOS.
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager lead the Maintenance and Set-Up teams with Lean principles, Quick Change Technology, Total Predictive Maintenance, Cell Design, and 5 S.
  • Perform job within acceptable safety, environmental, quality, productivity and performance standards.
  • Perform overtime as required/requested.
  • Manage asset tracking and record keeping.
  • Maintain records for standardization of parts.
  • Help maintain the maintenance library (manuals/prints).
