The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the upkeep of the grounds and machinery at MCH. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, record keeping, ordering supplies, supervising outside contractors, and handling facility repairs. The supervisor will utilize basic carpenter, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC skills to maintain the MCH facility. A key aspect of the role is overseeing and performing record-keeping to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies such as the Department of Health, TJC, and OSHA. The supervisor will also conduct regular preventive maintenance, assess facility conditions, and recommend improvements. This position reports to the Director of Environment of Care and is responsible for maintaining annual requirements like tuberculosis screening and Hepatitis B vaccination. The supervisor must follow all MCH policies and procedures affecting the Environment of Care, maintain service logs, and participate in professional growth opportunities, including providing in-services to staff on safety. Additionally, the role involves completing safety, fire, and disaster drills, and directly supervising maintenance and housekeeping staff, including assigning tasks, inspecting work, evaluating performance, and collaborating with the Director on employee improvements or disciplinary actions. Working with contractors to ensure they meet facility needs is also a responsibility. Other related duties may be assigned.
