About The Position

The employee supporting the Maintenance Supervisor position will utilize the tools of the Maintenance Management System to review and implement the maintenance activities designed to support the process equipment at BioProducts. The Supervisor will be a liaison between the Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering Departments while implementing or executing planned and/or scheduled maintenance activities. The Maintenance Supervisor will collaborate with the Planner to ensure that job plans and schedules are accurate and executable. The Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring the assigned maintenance activities and for ensuring that the required parts, tools, PPE, and resources to support the planned activities are available. The Maintenance Supervisor is expected to train, and/or mentor the maintenance work force to develop their skills and abilities and to provide feedback to the employees as part of the PMP Process. The Supervisor is expected to support the use of the MMS (Maximo) by insuring that work orders are closed with appropriate details and new work orders are generated based on the results of each workday.

Requirements

  • Two year technical degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with maintenance work management including job planning, preparation, scheduling, and supervision
  • Detailed understanding of Food Manufacturing Plant Operation and Maintenance
  • Good communication, writing, and speaking skills for coordination and reporting
  • Working knowledge of computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office, MMS (Maximo))

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all plant safety and operating guidelines.
  • Perform as a team member while executing the planned, preventative, and/or predictive maintenance activities that support the reliability efforts of the Maintenance Department
  • Utilize the Maintenance Management System to ensure that assigned work orders are closed with appropriate details and new work orders are generated based on the days activities
  • Review job requests to ensure they are accurate and executable
  • Effectively utilize the assigned craft resources and prioritize unscheduled activities
  • Train and/or mentor the work force to develop their skills and abilities
  • Support the Performance Review Program while providing appropriate feedback to the assigned employees
  • Understands their role in food safety and quality systems, actively participates in food safety efforts and ensures all activities conform to good manufacturing practices.
