About The Position

GFL Environmental is looking for a powerhouse Maintenance Supervisor to lead their fleet team in Chesapeake, VA. The company is on a mission to keep communities clean and sustainable and needs a supervisor who brings high energy, technical brilliance, and a "get it done" attitude to their shop. The role involves overseeing the daily operations of the maintenance department, coaching and mentoring a team of skilled technicians, using the M5 Planner to schedule repairs and track parts, ensuring the fleet is in peak condition, and maintaining high safety standards and compliance with federal/state regulations. The position also requires diving into complex diagnostics and leading advanced preventive maintenance efforts.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of heavy diesel truck maintenance experience.
• 1+ year in a leadership or lead tech role.
• Knowledge of engines, emissions, hydraulics, and air brakes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to juggle schedules and budgets.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work in the shop environment.
• Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located.
• Ability to provide valid documentation confirming eligibility to work.
