Join our team as a 1st shift Maintenance Supervisor (Monday – Friday with OT as needed 6:00am - 4:30pm), where you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of machinery and equipment. Responsibilities include inspecting, testing and monitoring equipment, conducting repairs and replacements. You’ll be a key contributor to the success of our plant. Requirements

  • Previous hands-on experience with assembly line machinery including PLC programming
  • Excellent reading, writing and math skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and mechanical skills. Be able to read blueprints.
  • Basic computer skills using Excel and Word.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence culture from reactive to proactive maintenance methodologies.
  • Must be willing to work off shift hours (as needed)

Responsibilities

  • Directs the maintenance work force and provides on-site expertise.
  • Ensures that work is accomplished in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Reviews work planning and scheduling with the production planner.
  • Ensures quality of work adhering to all safety standards.
  • Ensure that equipment availability is adequate to meet the production plan.
  • Works with plant or production supervision to ensure any operator's performed maintenance duties are facilitated.
  • Works with the Maintenance Manager to ensure all maintenance craft employees are properly qualified and trained for all maintenance work assigned.
  • Enforce environmental regulations.
  • Focuses downward and is highly visible in the field.
  • Champions proactive maintenance vs. reactive maintenance.
  • Administers encouragement and discipline to direct employees.
  • Monitors the CMMS.
  • Implements preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Works with procurement and external vendors for the purchase of supplies, parts, and obtaining competitive bids for equipment.
  • Monitors shop qualifications and quality standards for outside contractors.
  • Develops standards for major maintenance overhauls and outages.
  • Manage the maintenance team's maintenance budget.
