About The Position

AZZ has an exciting 1st shift opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor at our St. Louis facility. Reporting to the Plant Manager you will coordinate and supervise day-to-day duties of maintenance staff. You will oversee and perform maintenance services in the areas of plumbing, electrical, welding, construction, and/or machine servicing.

Requirements

1 – 2 years related experience required.
PLC knowledge required.
Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of hot dip galvanizing, steel fabrication or other custom metal coating operations is preferred.
Experience with HV 480 electricity, cranes, hoists, and forklifts strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Coaches and mentors maintenance staff and assists them to diagnose more complex problems with machinery or equipment problems.
Inspects completed work to check that repairs have been completed correctly and that machinery and equipment conform to specifications and safety standards.
Monitors the condition of maintenance equipment, materials, parts, and tools that are used by maintenance workers in their day-to-day activities.
Trains new employees in the organization's operating procedures and standards.
Counsels employees about work-related issues and assists employees to correct job-skill deficiencies.
Monitors employees' work levels and reviews work performance.
