About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor leads maintenance operations to keep the facility safe, functional, and compliant. The role involves supervising maintenance staff, maintaining building systems and equipment, overseeing preventive maintenance, coordinating contractors, managing supplies and budgets, and planning staffing according to census needs and labor budgets. Healthcare or long-term care facility experience is preferred.

Requirements

• Facility maintenance experience; healthcare or long-term care experience is preferred.
• Understanding of HVAC, boiler, water, and emergency systems.
• Ability to implement and manage a preventive maintenance program.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage supply ordering and departmental budgeting.

Nice To Haves

• HVAC experience is preferred but not required.
• Healthcare or long-term care facility maintenance experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and supervise maintenance team members.
• Conduct and document fire system inspections and coordinate monthly fire drills.
• Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, boilers, water systems, laundry equipment, and generators.
• Order maintenance supplies and equipment in accordance with budget guidelines.
• Oversee and coordinate work by external contractors.
• Ensure the facility and its equipment are safe, operational, and compliant with regulations.
• Provide job-specific training and promote adherence to safety procedures.
• Plan department staffing according to census needs and labor budgets.
