About The Position

Carteret Management Corporation is seeking a MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR to oversee the maintenance operations of the Swan Landing Apartments, a beautiful apartment community located in Lakeland, FL. This position offers permanent full-time employment and is responsible for ensuring the highest level of resident satisfaction and maintaining the safety, appearance, and operational standards of the community. The role involves hands-on maintenance, administrative operations of the maintenance department, and preparing vacant apartments for market readiness.

Requirements

Excellent customer service skills.
Prior maintenance experience.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
Ability to multitask with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to safely use various hand tools and power tools (hammers, screwdrivers, hand held drills, circular saws).
Ability to perform general janitorial duties.
Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with various groups (on-site staff, vendors, residents).

Responsibilities

Ensure the highest level of resident satisfaction at all times.
Maintain the safety, appearance, and operational standards established by Carteret Management.
Perform hands-on maintenance duties including diagnosing and repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, exterior structures, and appliance repair.
Manage day-to-day administrative operations of maintenance, including vendor management, report submission, paperwork, and recordkeeping.
Handle service requests for repairs and improvements of vacant apartments to ensure they are market-ready.
