Maintenance Supervisor
About The Position
The Maintenance Supervisor directs and coordinates maintenance department activities, functions, and staff in a long-term care facility. The role supervises staff responsible for maintaining, servicing, and operating facility equipment, fixtures, and grounds, and ensures the overall working condition and appearance of the building, grounds, and facilities. The supervisor is responsible for day-to-day supervision, planning, and organizing work, and provides staff with detailed verbal and written instructions and direction. The position reports directly to the Director of Maintenance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years old.
- Able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Thorough knowledge of commercial building equipment and operations.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and plumbing infrastructure.
- Ability to interpret and understand complex issues and problems.
- Ability to use computer systems and programs, including MS Excel and Word.
