The primary responsibility is to lead and supervise Maintenance Technicians to achieve established maintenance goals, ensuring quality, safety, labor efficiency, and workplace organization. This position supports production by maintaining equipment and facility systems, managing an educational pay program, and partnering with the manufacturing engineering team on preventative and predictive maintenance. The supervisor will also participate in product support teams, manage purchase requisitions and inventory, oversee budgets for repairs and supplies, troubleshoot production floor issues, and communicate repair status updates. Additionally, the role involves providing safety training, coordinating with equipment manufacturers, and daily interaction with hourly employees and plant management. Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise Maintenance Technicians to achieve established maintenance goals consistent with standards of quality, safety, labor efficiency, and workplace organization.
  • Support production activities by maintaining production equipment and providing assistance to maintain facility systems.
  • Manage the educational pay program for all maintenance technicians.
  • Partner with the manufacturing engineering team to lead preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Participate in product support teams to improve equipment uptime.
  • Create or check purchase requisitions, ensure parts are ordered, check delivery status, and check delivered items.
  • Support the MRO Stockroom with parts inventory management.
  • Manage applicable budgets for equipment repairs, parts, and supplies.
  • Troubleshoot problems that arise on the production floor throughout the day.
  • Communicate the need for any follow-up work to all shifts as required.
  • Prioritize work orders and delegate responsibilities for work orders.
  • Utilize corporate CMMS program to measure team performance working towards “World Class Maintenance” status.
  • Provide safety training for the maintenance team in compliance with OSHA and corporate safety program requirements.
  • Provide communication for equipment repair status updates to manufacturing.
  • Coordinate equipment manufacturer representatives to conduct repairs and major PMs.
  • Have daily contact with all hourly employees within the assigned area and plant management.
