About The Position

Bell & Evans is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance operations and support the reliability of equipment critical to our hatchery operations. This role is responsible for developing technicians, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring equipment and facilities operate safely and efficiently. Requirements

  • Previous maintenance leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing, agricultural, food production, or industrial environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
  • Experience leading and developing maintenance teams
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • A commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence
  • Strong communication and team-building skills
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice To Haves

  • Postsecondary technical education is preferred
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
  • Bilingual communication skills are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support maintenance technicians in daily operations
  • Plan, prioritize, and assign maintenance work to ensure efficient completion of tasks
  • Train, coach, and develop team members to enhance technical skills and performance
  • Monitor equipment reliability and oversee preventative maintenance programs
  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency
  • Partner with Production, Live Operations, Trucking, and other departments to support business needs
  • Ensure maintenance work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members
  • Address employee relations matters, including coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions when necessary
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and equipment reliability enhancements
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, quality, and productivity
