The 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating maintenance activities for manufacturing and production equipment during the second shift. This position supervises maintenance technicians, manages equipment breakdowns, drives root cause analysis (RCA) efforts, and ensures maximum equipment uptime while maintaining safety, quality, and production goals. Hours are Monday - Thursday 4pm - 2:30am.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous supervisory or team lead experience.
  • Strong PLC troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with Industrial electrical systems up to 480VAC 3-phase 120VAC and 24VDC control circuits
  • Experience with Hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Experience with Industrial production equipment
  • Mechanical troubleshooting and repair
  • Proven experience leading Root Cause Analysis investigations.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, or related field.
  • CMRP, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma exposure.
  • Experience with CMMS systems.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and develop a team of maintenance technicians (currently 2 direct reports).
  • Coordinate and prioritize reactive and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Respond to machine breakdowns and lead troubleshooting efforts to restore production.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and automated manufacturing systems.
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Work with production leadership to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, and company maintenance procedures.
  • Maintain maintenance documentation, PM records, and spare parts inventory.
  • Coach and mentor technicians while supporting workforce development.
