About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for developing and achieving maintenance goals and objectives, ensuring repairs are completed efficiently to minimize downtime, and driving preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives. This role requires the ability to perform and train employees on various maintenance tasks, including inspecting and testing machinery, dismantling and installing parts, programming and repairing automated equipment, and troubleshooting and repairing electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. The supervisor must also establish strong working relationships with other departments, exhibit a strong sense of urgency in problem-solving through root cause analysis, and adhere to safety protocols including wearing required PPE. The position involves various physical movements for extended periods and may require working in extreme temperatures.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years working experience in industrial/manufacturing maintenance.
  • At least 1 year working experience in supervision/leadership position, preferably in manufacturing environment.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must possess H.S. Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
  • Must be able to read and understand technical drawings, instructions, and/or blueprints.
  • Must be able to communicate in English both verbally and written.
  • Must possess a solid understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical circuitry.
  • Must possess working ability to use test equipment and tools.
  • Must possess ability and have working experience to read and understand electrical and hydraulic prints.
  • Must be able to work independently, establish priorities and communicate effectively while following policies, procedures and protocols.
  • Must be able to have full physical ability Able to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, stretch, push, pull, reach, and climb for prolonged periods of time to service, repair, and clean industrial equipment and fixtures.
  • Able to lift up to 50-75 pounds.
  • Must possess a valid, current driver's license (not expired, restricted or suspended).
  • Commute to multiple company facilities and personnel, as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical circuitry are preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop maintenance goals and objectives.
  • Ensure repairs are completed to reduce downtime.
  • Develop and drive preventive and predictive maintenance goals and objectives.
  • Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
  • Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
  • Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment, such as programmable controllers.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild equipment as it relates to electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and hydraulics by methods such as welding, soldering, wiring, fabricating, painting.
  • Troubleshoot and repair Electrical systems both AC and DC up to 480v.
  • Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems.
  • Establish excellent working relationships with all departments and support personnel.
  • Exhibit a strong sense of urgency to problem-solving through practicing and perfecting root cause analysis.
  • Attend and complete any Company or outsourced trainings, as assigned.
  • Perform any/all duties assigned by department manager.
