As a member of our maintenance leadership team, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our properties while managing a small team of technicians. Requirements

  • Experienced: 2+ years in maintenance or a related field, including hands-on technical skills in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, and painting.
  • Leader: Able to supervise and coordinate technicians, vendors, and contractors.
  • Organized & Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using CMMS (AppFolio preferred), documenting tasks, and managing schedules.
  • Reliable & Proactive: Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Professional & Calm: Even-tempered with residents and colleagues, strong communication skills, solutions-oriented.
  • Licensed & Equipped: Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and personal tools for on-site tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle
  • Ability to travel locally between properties in the Allentown area
  • Personal tools required to perform maintenance tasks
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with management
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends if urgent issues arise

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish language skills are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, schedule, and coordinate maintenance technicians and vendors to complete work orders, turnovers, and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct unit inspections, both pre- and post-move-out, ensuring turnovers are completed on time (~2-week expected turnaround).
  • Perform hands-on maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting, doors/windows, and minor property upkeep tasks.
  • Manage preventive maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of routine inspections.
  • Track and document all work in AppFolio and other systems: attach receipts, update work orders, maintain maintenance logs.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, contractors, inspectors, and property management staff.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies, order materials as needed, and keep equipment organized.
  • Support property improvements and coordinate special projects as assigned.

Benefits

  • Salary: $60,000 annually
  • Performance Bonus: Up to 10% annual bonus based on maintenance performance metrics
  • This is a full-time W-2 position with benefits offered.
  • Employees are paid biweekly.
