About The Position

MMC is looking for a dedicated Maintenance Supervisor to perform a variety of tasks while taking pride in their work. Under the direct supervision of the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for supervising maintenance staff and performing all maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing machinery, equipment, and building systems
  • Strong understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards, safety regulations, and environmental compliance.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours in emergency situations.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and operate in industrial environments.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, management, and external vendors.
  • Ability to travel and stay overnight as needed to support training and facility startups.

Responsibilities

  • Assigns and prioritizes work orders to maintenance staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and in line with operational needs.
  • Maintains an organized inventory of equipment, tools, and supplies, ensuring availability for all maintenance activities.
  • Performs hands-on maintenance work and repairs as needed, demonstrating expertise and leading by example.
  • Operates, inspects, and maintains tools and equipment to ensure safe and effective functionality.
  • Diagnoses and resolves complex maintenance issues, collaborating with management or external vendors for advanced technical support.
  • Establishes preventative maintenance schedules and monitors compliance to minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Develops and implements standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintenance tasks to ensure consistency and safety.
  • Manages relationships with vendors and contractors, obtaining quotes and overseeing external repair work when necessary.
  • Ensures compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies, conducting regular safety checks and training staff on best practices.
  • Leads the maintenance team by providing guidance, mentoring, and performance evaluations to support professional development.
  • Tracks and reports on maintenance metrics such as equipment downtime, repair costs, and project timelines to management.
  • Communicates effectively with internal stakeholders, providing updates on maintenance activities and addressing inquiries or concerns.
  • Supports emergency response efforts for facility or equipment failures, ensuring rapid recovery of operations.
  • Participates in the onboarding and training of new maintenance personnel to ensure team readiness.
  • Performs other duties as required, contributing to the overall operational success of the organization.
