About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor will ensure all activities meet or exceed safety protocols, implement and review safety policies and standards, and ensure timely installation and upkeep of equipment and systems for operational effectiveness and efficiency. This role involves assigning technicians, managing and leading department team members, interacting with outside vendors, coordinating preventive maintenance, and conducting root cause analysis of equipment failures. The position is primarily day-shift but requires supervision of employees on both day and night shifts, necessitating some off-shift presence. Additionally, the nature of the work requires some after-hours and weekend availability for urgent issues.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role preferred.
  • At least 3 factory maintenance experience.
  • Familiarity in drafting and understanding blueprints and schematics.
  • Solid working knowledge of electrical, electronic and mechanical processes related to manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Teams and Outlook.
  • Strong command of English language, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.
  • Ability to supervise employees on both day and night shifts, necessitating some amount of off-shift presence in the plant.
  • Willingness to handle phone calls and urgent call-ins after hours and at times, on weekends.
  • Subject to preemployment drug testing as well as random drug testing due to the "safety sensitive" nature of the role.

Nice To Haves

  • AOS degree (2 years) in technical discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all activities meet or exceed safety protocols.
  • Implement and review safety policies and standards.

  • Assign technicians based on operational requirements, prioritizing based on urgency, and availability of resources, materials and equipment.
  • Manage, lead, mentor, train and supervise department team members including all personnel decisions, key metrics, and performance.
  • Interact effectively with outside vendors for execution of maintenance work.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance tasks and timing with affected teams working closely with leadership from other areas.
  • Ensure maintenance of records and documentation meets requirements and regulations.
  • Conducts root cause analysis of equipment failures and implements fix or changes.
  • Ensure timely inspections.
