About The Position

A stable and reputable manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Supervisor to lead a skilled maintenance team in a fast-paced production environment. This is a hands-on leadership role for a mechanically inclined professional with extensive industrial maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to safety, equipment reliability, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will supervise a team of mechanics while ensuring maximum equipment uptime and continuous improvement of maintenance operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
  • 7–10 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3–5 years of supervisory experience leading maintenance personnel.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including bearings, shafts, pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and technical schematics.
  • Experience using hand and power tools, welding equipment, grinders, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, preventive maintenance programs, and CMMS systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, when required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of a team of maintenance mechanics.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Install, inspect, upgrade, and rebuild production equipment as needed.
  • Analyze recurring equipment issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and mechanical schematics to diagnose equipment problems.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Document maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Partner with engineering and production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.
  • Train, mentor, and develop maintenance personnel while promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance situations and provide on-call support when necessary.
