About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor is a key member of the Maintenance and Execution Team, responsible for overseeing the maintenance of equipment across all mills and facilities with a strong emphasis on preventive maintenance. This role involves building strong relationships with direct reports, removing barriers to employee success, and coaching employees to achieve company goals. The supervisor will establish and reinforce clear workplace expectations, provide ongoing feedback on performance, and coach employees on continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency using Leadership Interpersonal Skills Training (LIST) and Behavioral Management Techniques (BMT). The role also requires hands-on involvement at times to enhance process safety and quality, and collaboration with vendors.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform each essential duty listed.
  • Strong supervisory experience in an industrial or production setting.
  • Relationship building experience.

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science degree.
  • Behavioral Management Leadership Techniques experience.

Responsibilities

  • Hold regular, daily conversations to engage employees on safety, quality, and productivity during mill walk-arounds, observations, and monitoring.
  • Be present and visible to assist crew members with troubleshooting machine issues and providing necessary resources.
  • Provide regular, ongoing feedback to employees regarding their work performance using Revere safety, quality, productivity, and attendance data.
  • Take ownership of workplace issues and challenges concerning direct reports and collaborate with others for resolution.
  • Ensure effective shift-to-shift communications regarding safety, equipment status, staffing, and end-of-shift reports.
  • Uphold the Collective Bargaining Agreement, follow and apply all workplace policies and Human Resource procedures, and consult HR as needed.
  • Perform hands-on tasks as required to improve process safety and quality.
  • Work with vendors when necessary.
  • Enter requisitions for priority equipment repairs.
  • Continuously take leadership actions to foster a safe workplace culture by engaging direct reports in safety meetings, action plans, report follow-up, data collection, injury reports, and corrective action follow-up.
  • Continuously take leadership actions to apply standards of workmanship, train and coach employees on documented work methods, and conduct job instruction breakdown (JIB) observations.
  • Follow Reliability and Maintenance roles and responsibilities and work scheduling to ensure machine reliability.
  • Reinforce the importance of Work Order History capture.
  • Be responsible for the continuous improvement of machine efficiency and work practices.
