About The Position

Weinstein Properties is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Supervisor in Training for the Midlothian, VA (Richmond area). This role involves managing and coordinating a service team to ensure efficient upkeep, inventory, and repair of property grounds and buildings. The position is hands-on, requiring the individual to work alongside a supervisor and a full maintenance team, diagnosing and repairing issues in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior structures, and appliances. The role also includes scheduling and supervising in-house and vendor work, sharing on-call duties, and maintaining high occupancy levels through professional maintenance practices and excellent customer service. Requirements

Minimum of 4 years trade-related experience.
At least 1 year of hands-on apartment maintenance lead, assistant, or supervisory experience.
Strong working knowledge of all aspects of building maintenance including electrical, plumbing, appliance repairs, interior/exterior maintenance, and carpentry.
EPA/CFC Refrigerant certification required (Type I and II or Universal).
Hands-on HVAC repair experience required.
Computer skills: use business software to assign and manage work orders, schedule turns, order supplies, and communicate via email.
Willing to share on-call with other team members.
Valid driver's license, transportation, and tools required.
Must pass a DMV and background/criminal check.
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Scheduling and directly supervising all in-house and/or vendor work.

Maximizing rents and maintaining high occupancy levels by following professional maintenance practices, using quality control, and following policies/procedures.
Providing customer service to visitors, prospects, and residents.
