About The Position

Weinstein Properties is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Supervisor in Training for their Nashville, TN location. This role involves working and training onsite with a supervisor and a full maintenance team, with future flexibility to transfer to another Nashville community for a supervisor role. The position is responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of a service team to ensure efficient upkeep, inventory, and repair of property grounds and buildings, while also performing maintenance duties. The role is hands-on, focusing on maximizing rents and maintaining high occupancy through professional maintenance practices, quality control, and adherence to policies. The service team plays a crucial role in customer service, influencing visitors, prospects, and residents.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years trade-related experience.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on apartment maintenance lead, assistant or supervisory experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of all aspects of building maintenance including electrical, plumbing, appliance repairs, interior/exterior maintenance and carpentry.
  • EPA/CFC Refrigerant certification required (Type I and II or Universal).
  • Hands-on HVAC repair experience required.
  • Computer skills: use business software to assign and manage work orders, schedule turns, order supplies and communicate via email.
  • Willing to share on-call with other team members.
  • Valid driver's license, transportation and tools required.
  • Must pass a DMV and background/criminal check.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and coordinating activities of a service team to ensure that all upkeep, inventory and repair of grounds and buildings of the property are completed in an efficient manner.
  • Working as part of the team to complete all maintenance duties.
  • Diagnosing problems and making repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structural and appliances.
  • Scheduling and directly supervising all in-house and/or vendor work.
  • Sharing on-call duties with other team members.
  • Following professional maintenance practices, using quality control and following policies/procedures.
  • Providing customer service to visitors, prospects, and residents.

  • On Call Bonus - $150 per week (calls or no calls) plus additional $150 per holiday on call bonus
