About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor II will be responsible for directing plant maintenance activities at a state of the art, 200,000+ square foot, Italian Meats manufacturing plant. Responsibilities include providing direction to plant personnel in maintenance of production equipment in a manner that ensures employee safety, product safety and quality and compliance to production schedules. The position will also be responsible for managing all maintenance costs for the facility.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 3 + years of Maintenance, Maintenance Supervision or Process/Project Management experience
  • Previous experience with ammonia refrigeration, high pressure boiler, compressed air, mechanical and electrical fields (e.g. PLCs, instrumentation, mechanical engineering, etc.)
  • Knowledge of maintenance systems, work order processes, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM, inventory and scheduling
  • Strong leadership skills (conflict resolution, facilitation, change management skills, decision making, empowerment and delegation)
  • Able to lead problem solving and troubleshooting efforts associated with high-level process issues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Good planning and priority setting skills
  • Be Safety Minded
  • Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing.
  • Required ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Handling and being exposed to sensitive and confidential information.
  • Seeing, hearing and speaking clearly in order to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Owner of Plant maintenance KPI’s.
  • Coordinates the development of RCA’s and Action plans to solve problems and make improvements.
  • Implements and enforces Company safety policy and responsible for Team Member Safety.
  • Responsible for Food Safety & Quality as it relates to Plant maintenance activities and programs.
  • Responsible for Plant Schedule attainment as it relates to Plant maintenance activities and programs.
  • Leads teams of Maintenance Mechanics & Electricians in predictive & preventative maintenance and machine repair
  • Responsible for delivering cost KPI’s including MRO inventory & Plant maintenance Costs.
  • Oversee measurement, tracking and planning for safety, quality, repair and preventive maintenance programs for the facilities.
  • Provides general oversight for execution and completion of comprehensive design verification and process validation protocols
  • Owns the ammonia refrigeration systems and PSM programs.
  • Ensures product, process, and project documentation is complete, accurate, and sufficient to allow development and production team members to understand critical requirements.
  • Assembles technology transfer documentation.
  • Provides development engineering input to cross-functional product development teams
  • Provide long term solutions and day-to-day support to all operating teams having issues with troubleshooting, problem analysis, equipment failures, etc.
  • Train employees on proper work methods and safety procedures
  • Responsible for maintaining company culture and upholding JBS Values.
  • Makes recommendations to the leadership team to improve the maintenance function with the plant.
