About The Position

This role is based in Jacksonville, FL, and is an on-site position. The Maintenance Supervisor II will lead, coach, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines. The position involves planning, prioritizing, and assigning maintenance work orders, driving preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Collaboration with Operations, Engineering, and Planning teams is key to optimizing maintenance schedules and plant efficiency. The role also includes troubleshooting equipment failures, leading root cause analysis, monitoring maintenance KPIs, and supporting plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and capital projects.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Proven experience supervising or leading maintenance teams (2+ years preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems such as SAP or Maximo
  • Solid understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with a focus on team development and safety

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred
  • Experience leading maintenance in a continuous manufacturing environment
  • Certification in maintenance/reliability (e.g., CMRP) or technical trade certifications
  • Experience supporting capital projects or large-scale plant turnarounds

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines
  • Plan, prioritize, and assign maintenance work orders aligned with production needs and reliability targets
  • Drive execution of preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations (OSHA) and company policies
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and lead root cause analysis to prevent recurrence
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Planning teams to optimize maintenance schedules and plant efficiency
  • Monitor and analyze maintenance KPIs such as downtime, PM compliance, backlog, and MTBF
  • Oversee accurate documentation of maintenance activities within CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo)
  • Support plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and capital projects to ensure timely and safe execution
