About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Superintendent to oversee maintenance operations for a residential community. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring the property remains safe, well maintained, and inspection-ready while leading maintenance staff, coordinating vendors, and supporting overall property operations. The ideal candidate brings strong multifamily maintenance expertise, leadership experience, and the ability to balance daily work orders, unit turns, preventative maintenance, and capital projects.

Requirements

3–5 years of maintenance experience in residential, multifamily, commercial, or related property management environments
Previous supervisory or lead maintenance experience required
Strong technical skills including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
Ability to communicate professionally with residents, vendors, contractors, and management
Ability to respond to emergencies and participate in an on-call rotation
Valid driver’s license required

Responsibilities

Supervise maintenance staff and third-party vendors
Perform and oversee plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance, and general repairs
Manage preventative maintenance schedules and daily work orders
Prepare apartment homes for move-ins, move-outs, REAC inspections, and preventative inspections
Oversee unit turns, capital improvement projects, and seasonal maintenance responsibilities
Participate in an emergency on-call rotation and respond to urgent after-hours issues
Manage inventory, supply ordering, vendor contracts, and maintenance logs
Ensure grounds, common areas, and building systems remain in excellent condition
Partner closely with the Property Manager on inspection readiness and operational priorities
