Join us and help run what runs the world. This position reports to: Maintenance Supervisor. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the processes in maintaining and preserving the efficiency of all equipment, production lines, and/or facilities, resulting in the optimization of technical and financial resources. Each day, you will oversee execution of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of equipment, production lines, and/or facilities. You will also showcase your expertise by managing and updating technical documentation of equipment, production lines, and/or facilities. The work model for the role is: onsite at the Pinetops, NC facility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma / GED or equivalent education is required
  • 2+ years working as a maintenance technician
  • Experience around Data Analysis & Reporting, Engineering & Manufacturing Processes, Planned Maintenance & Backlog, and Specialist Technical & Engineering Skills.
  • Knowledge and use of tools – tape measure, calipers, grinders, or other hand tools, as needed.
  • Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40lbs
  • Candidates must already possess authorization to work for ABB in the US.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree in related fields (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or Electromechanical) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Defining maintenance plans for new production lines or facilities, and consulting on ways to improve reliability, maintainability, and safety of equipment and/or facilities.
  • Solving major technical, equipment, or facilities problems to achieve higher performance of the production lines.
  • Proposing improvement projects for processes and production lines aimed at reducing ordinary and extraordinary maintenance and optimizing operational and energy efficiency.
  • Responding to emergencies, breakdowns, malfunctions, and other operating problems to minimize disruption in the production process.
  • Responsibility over equipment preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • CMMs reportability.
