As a Maintenance Shift Supervisor, you’re the go-to leader on shift—guiding a team of talented technicians, tackling complex equipment issues, and making sure everything from centrifuges to facility systems operates safely and reliably. You don’t just manage the work—you set the pace, raise the bar, and keep the mission moving.

Requirements

  • Associate of science in engineering, physical sciences, or equivalent technical experience with a high school diploma or GED; or successful completion of the US naval nuclear propulsion program
  • 3+ years of plant maintenance experience within the last 8 years in chemical, nuclear, power generation, pharmaceutical industries, or the US naval nuclear propulsion program
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” clearance
  • Must be able to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test
  • Must obtain and maintain a Q security clearance
  • Must be tested for the absence of any illegal drug prior to an offer of employment being made
  • Will be part of a random drug testing program once employed
  • May be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if there is reasonable suspicion of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol
  • Must undergo a background investigation by the Federal government for a Q security clearance
  • Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all shift maintenance activities
  • Assign and schedule work
  • Guide technicians
  • Ensure equipment is installed, maintained, and repaired in line with approved procedures
  • Oversee troubleshooting and system performance
  • Monitor work quality and compliance
  • Manage materials, parts, and work orders
  • Reinforce safety, security, environmental, and quality standards
  • Review technical drawings and procedures
  • Support the team hands-on when needed
  • Ensure every job is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard
