About The Position

The Maintenance Scheduler is responsible for developing, publishing, and coordinating the daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance schedules to ensure safe, efficient, and timely execution of maintenance activities across the plant. This role focuses on sequencing work, balancing labor and resource availability, coordinating with Operations, and ensuring that planned work is executed according to priority and plant needs. The Maintenance Scheduler works closely with the Maintenance Planner, Maintenance Supervisors, Operations, and Engineering to ensure that all scheduled work is properly planned, resourced, and aligned with production requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, operations, or maintenance scheduling.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance workflows, resource planning, and industrial equipment.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project).
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to interpret work orders, maintenance plans, and equipment documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and publish the daily maintenance schedule, ensuring alignment with Operations and Maintenance Planner, and Maintenance Supervisors.
  • Build and maintain the weekly and monthly maintenance schedules, incorporating preventive maintenance, corrective work, and reliability tasks.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Planner, and Operations to identify available maintenance windows, equipment downtime opportunities, and production constraints.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Planner, Maintenance Supervisors, and Operations to sequence work orders based on priority, resource availability, safety considerations, and equipment criticality.
  • Adjust schedules as needed based on emergent work, equipment failures, or operational changes.
  • Communicate schedule updates to Maintenance Supervisors, Operations, and other stakeholders.
  • Support annual turnarounds and outages by developing detailed execution schedules.
  • Maintain an accurate, prioritized backlog of work orders in collaboration with the Maintenance Planner and Maintenance Supervisors.
  • Conduct weekly backlog review meetings with Maintenance and Operations to ensure proper prioritization and scheduling readiness.
  • Identify work orders that require additional planning, materials, or clarification before scheduling.
  • Track schedule compliance and identify barriers to execution.
  • Ensure all scheduled work is accurately reflected in D365.
  • Maintain schedule-related data including labor assignments, equipment downtime, and schedule compliance.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Planner to ensure all scheduled work is fully planned and ready for execution.
  • Partner with Safety and Environmental teams to schedule regulatory and compliance‑related work orders.
  • Communicate daily schedule expectations to technicians and supervisors.
  • Facilitate daily and weekly scheduling meetings.
