About The Position

The Scheduler/CMMS's main duties will include but are not limited to KPI Maintenance, Downtime Reporting, CMMS maintenance scheduling, and parts kitting for the Roseburg Studmill. This position will have the complete CMMS process assigned to them, including printing PMs, assigning them, collecting finished PMs, entering needed work, ordering parts, and ensuring PMs are correct and up to date. The individual will be responsible for scheduling all maintenance tasks, including daily work assignments, longer maintenance windows between shifts, and weekend work. They will also be responsible for approximately seventy-five percent of parts ordering based on needed maintenance or the results of PMs or finished work orders. Additionally, this role involves job kitting for maintenance windows and project kitting, ensuring all parts are accumulated and organized prior to the start of work. The position supports and promotes all company safety policies, works with various stakeholders to ensure seamless transitions, and is a productive member of the site’s safety committee. Other duties include requisitioning tools, equipment, and supplies, providing feedback to maintenance personnel, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with the electrical department and maintenance supervisor on cleanup responsibilities.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license for the state of Oregon.
Ability to operate company forklifts.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to communicate with co-workers face to face, via radio, email, and telephone.
Basic computer skills and understanding, with a focus on the Computerized Maintenance Management System and M3.
Must be able to concentrate in a noisy environment, deal with frequent interruptions, juggle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and exercise independent judgment.
Must be self-directed in identifying and efficiently completing tasks.
Use vision/hearing continuously, reading and speech required to communicate comprehension of Job Hazard Analysis, Machine Specific Lockout Procedures, monthly safety training topics, and Job Certification if applicable.
Constant use of hearing and vision.
Workers will bend, twist, squat, push/pull using waist, shoulders, arms, hands, and wrists to manipulate a variety of tools.
Ability to climb ladders.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

Manage the complete CMMS process, including scheduling preventative maintenance (PMs).
Assign PMs to the correct individuals and schedule work as needed.
Collect finished PMs, review them, and enter needed work into the system.
Order parts as needed for upcoming maintenance tasks.
Ensure PMs are accurate and reflect current and future mill site needs.
Schedule all maintenance tasks, including daily work assignments, longer maintenance windows, and weekend work.
Assign work based on direction from maintenance leadership.
Order approximately seventy-five percent of parts required for maintenance.
Kit parts for each maintenance window and project, ensuring all necessary components are available.
Facilitate maintenance activities using preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure plant machinery is in optimal condition for 100% run time.
Support and promote all company safety policies, including lockout/tagout, PPE, hazardous materials handling, and SHARP compliance.
Work with the maintenance crew, supervisor, director, and outside vendors for smooth project transitions.
Be a productive member of the site’s safety committee.
Monitor and report maintenance performance to the maintenance director.
Support and participate in all company safety efforts.
Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies.
Provide honest and timely feedback to maintenance personnel.
Troubleshoot issues and problem-solve to reduce downtime.
Coordinate with the electrical department on work impacting both departments.
Assist with cleanup responsibilities, including the old planer building and bone yard.
Monitor the bone yard with the maintenance supervisor for removal of outdated material.
