Requirements

  • Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
  • Possess a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Able to perform essential job functions.
  • Satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Repair doors and furniture, construct partitions, and operate woodworking tools
  • Perform tasks in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, air conditioning, and refrigeration as assigned
  • Complete drywall, plaster, painting, flooring, masonry, roofing, siding, and general structural repair work
  • Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems, pumps, generators, fixtures, and various facility equipment
  • Remove snow, cut grass, and operate basic grounds and outdoor equipment
  • Maintain preventive maintenance records and schedules
