About The Position

As a Maintenance Repairman 2 with the Department of Military & Veterans Affairs (DMVA), you will assist in keeping the 193d Special Operations Wing at the Harrisburg International Airport running smoothly. This position offers a chance to work with many building systems and perform repairs that make a real difference. This position supports facility and grounds maintenance for the 193d Special Operations Wing by completing repair work, upkeep, and improvements across the base. It helps maintain safe, functional buildings and outdoor areas through skilled tasks and daily care.

Requirements

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
• Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities
• Possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License
• Must possess and maintain a REAL ID or passport
• Must be able to perform essential job functions

Responsibilities

• Install and replace circuits, fixtures, switches, and related components
• Repair sinks, pipes, drains, and interior water lines using proper materials
• Fix doors, windows, walls, flooring, and interior structures as needed
• Mix and pour cement, repair sidewalks, and complete plaster and paint tasks
• Perform repairs, adjustments, and preventive care on various building equipment
• Operate landscaping, snow removal, and cleaning equipment for facility maintenance
