About The Position
As a Maintenance Repairman 1 for the Department of Transportation, Butler County Maintenance Organization, you will take pride in keeping buildings and grounds safe and functional. Requirements
- Two years of experience in general maintenance work which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
- Possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
- Ability to perform essential job functions.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning duties including floors, furniture, lavatories, and trash removal
- Maintain outdoor areas through mowing, raking, landscaping, and snow removal
- Make simple fixes using carpentry, electrical, and plumbing tools
- Operate and maintain hand tools, motorized tools, and assigned equipment
- Follow safety procedures, report hazards, and use protective equipment
- Assist skilled workers, run errands, and complete tasks as directed
