About The Position

This position plays a vital role in the maintenance and upkeep of approximately 340 buildings under the Area Maintenance Department at Pinecrest Supports and Services Center. The center's mission is to support the quality of life for all people by promoting choice, diversity, and community involvement.

Requirements

Two years of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance; OR Completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering; OR Twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses.

Responsibilities

Repair and install commodes, lavatories, water fountains, and garbage disposals.
Unstop sewer lines and drains, repair leaks, and repair/replace faucets.
Replace Light bulbs.
Repair/replace ballasts, receptacles, switches, and fans.
Replace motors, pumps, etc.
Repair washing machines, dryers, ice machines, and refrigerators.
Repair doors, door closers, hinges, cabinet doors, knobs, baseboards, cabinets, furniture, door stops, windows, etc.
Perform preventive maintenance and maintenance to A/C units and air handlers.
Clean coils; work on pumps to air handlers and motors, chill water valves, controls, belts, and filters.
Keep a check on hot water temperatures and maintain a log.
Run and service generators and maintain the log.
Inspect fire extinguishers monthly and maintain a log.
