About The Position

The Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) Procurement Specialist, under the supervision of the facility Maintenance Manager, is responsible for the buying, delivery, and replenishment of spare parts, using the company’s CMMS in support of the manufacturing facility. This role manages and executes the non-production supplies and services requirements of Oil-Dri through various transactional and sourcing activities. The specialist works closely with Maintenance, Operations, and other key stakeholders, as well as other MRO Procurement personnel, to meet or exceed timely delivery and speed of service performance goals. A key part of the role involves managing the parts room inventory, including monitoring bin quantities to ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained, and keeping the parts room clean and organized for easy part retrieval and checkout. The specialist is expected to act in accordance with the company's core values, "WE CARE" and "Lessons Learned".

Requirements

  • Must have 2+ years of inventory management, scheduling or supply management/procurement experience preferably in a maintenance support role.
  • Non-College Graduate: MRO procurement experience with a proven track record of success or a successful track record in maintenance and/or plant operations.
  • College Graduate: Business, Finance or Supply Management degree with high aptitude for learning.
  • Experience with large ERP Manufacturing system preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication (oral and written).
  • Relationship skills including people management.
  • Financial acumen and analytical skills.
  • Ability to maintain records and keep track of all areas of responsibility.
  • Technical aptitude for mechanical equipment.
  • Possess core values of Honesty and Integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute the non-production supplies and services requirements of Oil-Dri through various transactional, sourcing activities.
  • Work closely with Maintenance, Operations, and other key stakeholders as well as other MRO Procurement personnel to meet or exceed timely delivery and speed of service performance goals.
  • Responsible for parts room inventory, including monitoring bin quantities to ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained.
  • Maintain a clean, organized parts room that makes it easy to find parts and check them out.
  • Review, process and manage the procurement of all requirements generated by approved requestors.
  • Submit monthly consolidated report in the agreed upon format to assigned personnel that tracks KPIs for MRO Procurement. These KPIs monitor overall speed of service goals for MRO Procurement.
  • Participate on various sourcing projects as requested by Management.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation follows all published Accounting and Procurement policies as they relate to procurement of non-production goods and services.
  • Ensure accuracy and retention of all Procurement related paperwork including but not limited to receiving documents, requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, key internal and external correspondence, bids, etcetera.
  • Manage and maintain equitable relationships with assigned key suppliers and service providers.
