About The Position

The Maintenance & Renovations Manager oversees the daily operations of the Maintenance & Renovations Departments, including building systems: mechanical, electrical, HVAC, fire & life safety, preventative maintenance, building maintenance, renovations, and refresh projects throughout Homestead Village. This position supervises Maintenance and Renovations team members and coordinates internal resources, external contractors, and trades to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, cost-effectively, on schedule, and to established quality standards while providing responsive service to residents and internal customers.

Requirements

Minimum of 10 years experience in project and budget management.
Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in construction and/or trades.
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
Experience/knowledge of maintenance functions: carpentry, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Valid PA’s driver’s license with excellent driving record.
Able to perform the essential job responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations and coordination of the Maintenance & Renovations team such as assignments, work tasks, and covering departmental needs for call-offs.
Organize, coordinate, and supervise maintenance and renovations personnel under the direction of the Director of Facilities, including assigning work, managing schedules, monitoring performance, and ensuring the timely and effective completion of maintenance and renovations projects.
Receive, prioritize, assign, and monitor maintenance work orders and project tasks, ensuring timely completion and appropriate follow-up.
Manage daily maintenance and project schedules, including job site cleanliness, organization, drawings, blueprints, work plans, and project priorities.
Coordinate room turnovers for all Homestead Village units with the Renovations team, ensuring work is completed according to established schedules and resident selections and preferences.
Ensure required permits are obtained and properly posted in accordance with applicable local and state ordinances, and serve as a liaison with inspection agencies as needed.
Ensure departmental compliance with OSHA requirements, Homestead Village policies and safety standards, applicable building codes, and other federal, state, and local regulations.
Conduct and participate in Fire/Disaster Drills and other emergency preparedness and safety activities.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
