About The Position

MV Transportation is seeking a Maintenance Quality Assurance Monitor to support the collection, maintenance, analysis, and reporting of audit data from various MV service Providers. This role involves performing monthly vehicle audit inspections, inspecting various records and equipment, and ensuring adherence to contracts, SOPs, training, safety, and OSHA regulations. The position also includes facility inspections and documenting findings using computer software. The Monitor will periodically assess the performance of MV services based on the Quality Assurance plan and contract standards, track quality findings, and assist in preparing various reports.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience or more in diesel repair preferably bus and or truck serving as an A or B tech.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain Class B CDL with P endorsement and no air brake restriction.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Clean motor vehicle report.
  • Ability to work equally in a team environment and individually.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of local training program and local operations.
  • Knowledge of project specific vehicles, components and data/communications systems.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.

Nice To Haves

  • ASE certification in two (2) or more areas with experience in preventative maintenance, brakes systems and or a combination of training and experience in these areas.

Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly vehicle audit inspections of 20% of the following equipment by division: Support Vehicles, Revenue fleet, Vehicle equipment.
  • Perform inspection of: files, fleet records, fluid sample records and sampling procedures, training records, fleet watch records, and DVIR records.
  • Utilize inspection forms, procedures and check off sheets.
  • Inspect for: contract adherence, SOP adherence, training adherence, safety and OSHA adherence.
  • Perform facility inspections to include: Hazmat, MSDS, SPCC, others as assigned.
  • Utilize computer for documenting findings via excel or word spread sheets.
  • Periodic or unscheduled monitoring of the performance of MV services based upon established Quality Assurance plan and Contract standards.
  • Data collection activities, processes, and procedures.
  • Track and monitor open quality findings and discrepancies and ensure corrective actions.
  • Prepare accurate and concise checklists to include deficiencies and findings.
  • Assist in preparing administrative, compliance, and numerous ad-hoc reports.
  • Support the generation statistical reports, presentations, graphics, forms, and other documents to communicate Quality information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
