About The Position

This role is responsible for the overall technical processes and continuous improvement for all Chemprene product lines. The position involves direct supervision of the Maintenance and Production Engineering Team, leading and coordinating process improvement tasks, and recommending/executing optimizations to existing processes using engineering principles. The role also includes ownership of Ammega Production System implementation and the CMMS process for the Maintenance Team. A key aspect is commitment to EHS programs, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, and partnering with Project Managers and Site Controller for capital planning and project execution. The role requires facilitating root cause corrective actions and continual improvement Kaizens using defined problem-solving and lean tools. The ultimate goal is defining strategy and actions to improve safety, reliability, efficiency, and quality of all production processes and systems.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (technical, engineering)
3-7 Years experience in leading engineering and/or maintenance teams.
Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance Principals
Knowledge of Continuous Improvement approach
Knowledge of LEAN production principles
Knowledge of Quality systems
Understanding of cultural differences in global environment
Interpersonal skills / good communication in English
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Experienced in capital project management.
Excellent leadership skills and Business Acumen

Responsibilities

Overall responsibility of technical processes and continuous improvement for all Chemprene product lines.
Direct supervision of the Maintenance and Production Engineering Team.
Leads and coordinates the delegation of process improvement tasks to maintenance, technical and other support personnel.
Review, recommend and execute process improvements and optimizations to existing processes with engineering principles.
Ownership of Ammega Production System implementation.
Ownership and implementation of CMMS process for Maintenance Team.
Commitment to maintenance/engineering role with EHS programs to ensure compliance with federal, state and local standards governing pollution control, safety requirements, and reporting requirements.
Ensures all Maintenance activities are executed in accordance with all safety and environmental policies and procedures.
Partners with Project Managers and Site Controller for proper capital planning and project execution.
Facilitate root cause corrective action for process failures using defined problem-solving tools (5 Why, Fishbone, DOE, etc.).
Facilitate continual improvement Kaizens for using defined lean tools (VSM, SMED, MOSS, Spaghetti Diagram, etc.).
Defining strategy and actions to improve safety, reliability, efficiency and quality of all production processes and systems.
