About The Position

Jared Jewelers is hiring a Maintenance / Porter to contribute to total customer satisfaction by making customers’ needs the first priority. The role performs general maintenance inside and outside the store and helps keep the sales floor, public areas, break room, and exterior clean and orderly. It also monitors maintenance performed by contracted vendors and uses the ETS in accordance with company guidelines. Base pay is $15.00–$20.50; final pay is determined by experience and qualifications.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Genuine desire to serve customers by keeping the retail store and its exterior orderly.
Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player.
Moderate interpersonal relations and communication skills.
Ability to use hand and power tools and basic carpentry skills.
Visual and auditory skills.
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance inside and outside the store.
Maintain the sales floor by picking up or sweeping spills and debris.
Keep glass windows and doors free from spots.
Clean and maintain public restrooms on the designated schedule.
Keep the break room clean, neat, and orderly.
Maintain the exterior of the store by sweeping or picking up debris and ensuring trash containers are emptied regularly.
Clear snow, slush, or ice from in front of the entrance.
Monitor maintenance performed by contracted vendors.
Use the ETS in accordance with company guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
