About The Position

Jared Jewelers is seeking a Maintenance / Porter to help create an environment of total customer satisfaction by making customers’ needs the first priority. The role performs general maintenance inside and outside the store and helps keep the sales floor, windows, restrooms, break room, and surrounding areas clean and orderly. The position also involves clearing snow, slush, or ice from the store entrance, monitoring work by contracted vendors, and using the ETS in accordance with company guidelines. The position requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent, a customer-service mindset, a positive attitude, and the ability to work as part of a team. Candidates should have moderate interpersonal and communication skills, be able to use hand and power tools, have basic carpentry skills, possess visual and auditory skills, and be able to lift at least 50 pounds. Base pay is $15.00–$20.50; the final rate depends on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Genuine desire to serve customers by keeping the retail store and its exterior orderly.

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance inside and outside the store.
Maintain the sales floor by picking or sweeping up spills and debris.
Keep glass windows and doors free from spots.
Clean and maintain public restrooms on a designated schedule.
Keep the break room clean, neat, and orderly.
Maintain the outside appearance of the store by removing debris and regularly emptying trash containers.
Clear snow, slush, or ice from in front of the entrance.
Monitor maintenance performed by contracted vendors.
Use the ETS in accordance with company guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
