About The Position

National Airlines, based in Orlando, FL, operates passenger charter service as well as customized military and commercial air cargo carriages worldwide. National Airlines specializes in over-sized, time sensitive, and special handling requirements, utilizing 747-400 and A-330 aircraft to accomplish its missions. This role is responsible for Planning Department processes, identifying changes to enhance departmental process quality, and submitting Maintenance Program Revision Requests for applicable policy and procedure changes. The supervisor will coordinate and monitor aircraft maintenance activities for compliance with FARs and Company policy and procedures, and assist in the indoctrination of new aircraft to the National Airlines fleet and maintenance programs. They will facilitate the resolution of technical problems for timely repair of aircraft, review the AMOS Maintenance Forecast Report daily, and identify and plan for upcoming maintenance items. Additionally, this role provides advice and direction for correcting technical problems, coordinates maintenance requirements with various departments (line maintenance, heavy maintenance, stores) to ensure completion of tasks, and monitors technical performance for chronic problems. The supervisor coordinates the scheduling of planned maintenance and routing of aircraft for priority maintenance purposes, oversees the development of maintenance programs and modifications to improve efficiency and cost control, and liaens with Operations, Maintenance Control, Inspection, and Maintenance departments. They will also oversee the creation of forecasts for material and logistics for all check levels in conjunction with material planning, and oversee the identification and implementation of tooling requirements and the development of programs for peculiar ground support equipment. This position provides data and reports as required by higher management to monitor the performances of various maintenance and engineering environments. They work closely with the Quality Control department in reading, interpreting, and implementing Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins, and assist in the revision of all company manuals pertaining to aircraft. Short Term Escalation Requests will be initiated when necessary. Any other duty as assigned.

Requirements

  • A valid FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) ratings preferred.
  • 3 years’ experience in a position responsible for returning aircraft to service.
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity maintaining the same category and class of aircraft as the Company operates.
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations Parts 65, 91, 121.
  • Have at least 3 years’ experience in maintaining large airplanes with an air carrier.
