Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED and seven (7) years related operational experience, including supervisory or management experience, OR Bachelor's degree and three (3) years related operational experience, including supervisory or management experience.
  • Candidates may be required to pass a medical exam.
  • Candidates must pass all required training and/or testing.
  • Employees may be required to work a non-standard schedule, which may include shift work (other than day shift) at a 24/7, 365-day operation.
  • Freeport-McMoRan promotes a drug/alcohol-free work environment using mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going drug and alcohol testing, as allowed by applicable laws.

Nice To Haves

  • Mining, Mineral processing, or heavy industrial experience
  • Proficiency with CMMS systems, SAP preferred
  • Major shutdown or turnaround planning and execution experience
  • Experience in financial and project management with cost control method
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience leading a maintenance planning department

Responsibilities

  • Establish tactical and strategic goals, objectives, policies and procedures for crushers, mills, screens, and pumps replacement and rebuild reliability and administers the crusher, mill, screen, and pump replacement rebuild program in North and South America.
  • Provide technical maintenance support for critical production issues.
  • Provide technical assistance and recommendations to Plant staff and implement reliability best practices during major fixed plant equipment rebuilds.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement new rebuild and repair processes.
  • Standardize maintenance equipment and procedures for crushers, mills, screens, and pump replacements and rebuilds.
  • Oversee the utilization of standardized mills, screens and pump replacement and rebuild procedures and processes.
  • Perform other duties as required.
