About The Position

The Maintenance Planning Supervisor position is a key person for the factory maintenance program who owns all technical store areas and people operating in the technical store. Responsible for scheduling the work activity of the Maintenance and Engineering team. This position prepares efficient and effective work plans for all Preventative, Predictive, Condition-Based, and Project/Backlog Maintenance work. This position is responsible to ensure parts are available and ready and coordinates execution of the maintenance plan in conjunction with the production schedule.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required; food industry preferred
  • Experience managing a CMMS system required (e.g., SAP, Maximo, MP2, MLS)
  • 1 years of experience serving as the liaison with external vendors for the procurement of parts for maintenance activities is required; international procurement experience is a plus
  • High level of computer expertise and competence
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills
  • Able to understand and apply maintenance continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong analysis skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 4 employees
  • Provide inventory reporting to Finance and Purchasing; ensure finance approval of all stock adjustments, min/max adjustments, and obsolete part write-off
  • Manage the process to refine and control slow-moving parts and obsolete part removal
  • Monitor min/max levels and order point information
  • Manage inventories by ABCZ classification
  • Use best-practice inventory management practices
  • Coordinate activities with other disciplines (purchasing, accounting, engineering, operations, management) to ensure high support of maintenance activities
  • Plan all Predictive, Preventative, and Condition Based Maintenance, in conjunction with the site’s production and operational plan, including resource (technician, operators, parts, equipment) availability to execute activities effectively and efficiently in a coordinated way
  • Help prioritize and escalate critical work as necessary
  • Manage CMMS Data, ensuring that appropriate information, such as FLOC, BOMs, and PMs, are entered into the CMMS system when a modification, improvement, or addition is made to manufacturing, utilities, and/or other support area equipment
  • Monitor work order backlog; schedule backlog work in a timely manner to maintain a reasonable level
  • Monitor/Audit technician data entry and quality into SAP/AMM system
  • Provide support and training as required to ensure meaningful and comprehensive information is available
  • Evaluate all notifications by working with the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisors, and technicians
  • Convert notifications to work orders
  • Provide feedback to requestors as appropriate
  • Monitor work order completion, backlog, and schedule compliance to ensure health of maintenance systems
  • Drive continuous improvement projects related to maintenance as assigned by working with operations and engineering alike
  • Participate in problem solving activities, including Breakdown Analysis (BDA)
  • Generate reports and manage KPIs
