About The Position

The Maintenance Planner/Coordinator is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). This role involves converting work requests into work orders, scheduling maintenance activities, ensuring spare parts availability, collecting work order data, and reporting progress against maintenance KPIs. The position interfaces with the maintenance manager and the TPM/Spare Parts group to implement Best Business Practices (BBP's) for maintenance routines and spare parts, aiming to increase productivity by reducing corrective maintenance and increasing preventative/predictive maintenance. The Maintenance Planner will also serve as the plant's Super User for the CMMS, supporting system updates and modifications, and mentoring a future Scheduler/Planner.

Requirements

  • University degree and 1 year minimum experience or 2 years minimum experience or equivalent combination.
  • Three to five years of experience in plant maintenance and operations (both is preferred).
  • Effective team building and communication skills.
  • Ability to set priorities, work independently, and coordinate multiple projects utilizing available resources.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with MVP Plant or equivalent CMMS software is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Fully plan work orders, including internal operations, material purchases, requisitions, service purchases, and labor purchases.
  • Coordinate and organize the preventive maintenance schedule with the maintenance and operations departments.
  • Distribute weekly Preventative Maintenance work orders.
  • Gather data and produce reports as required by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Review planned and confirmed work orders and maintenance history recordings for accuracy.
  • Review daily breakdown statistics and remedies executed to determine if engineering input is required.
  • Review work order feedback from trades regarding updates to task lists and maintenance plans and make suggestions.
  • Participate in and/or facilitate scheduling and shift crossover meetings.
  • Participate in and/or facilitate weekly team meetings to review weekly KPIs, action item status, and maintenance performance.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required.
  • Generate and distribute work order backlog reports.
  • Interface with Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Manager, Engineering Manager, and Parts group.
  • Collect parts needed to complete work orders and communicate when all material is available.
  • Keep files of daily production reports.
  • Keep logs of equipment and tooling, preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Review corrective maintenance work requests from production departments.
  • Ensure compliance with proper safety, quality, and environmental requirements in work.
  • Take responsibility for the CMMS Database and data integrity.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly air leak audits.
  • Conduct daily walkthroughs with plant operations to identify abnormalities.
  • Conduct monthly 5S audits.
  • Provide weekly onboarding for new employee utilization PowerPoint.
  • Understand Total Productive Maintenance.
  • Utilize and set up MVP Plant.
