About The Position

The Maintenance Planner has responsibility for coordinating activities within the maintenance team to ensure that all plant equipment is in good working condition. This is accomplished by developing and keeping to a schedule of required maintenance and ensuring the right resources (i.e., parts, personnel, and inventory) are in place to successfully complete the assigned work. The planner must also maintain records in M+ showing the work history on each piece of equipment. The planner would also leverage M+ (analysis) to make recommendations on work frequency and changes to improve uptime. Communicating with the maintenance team and across the site on work to be done and completed is critical. The Planner has responsibility for the administration of our M+ system. The administrator will build out entities, company information including distribution along with granting user admin rights as well as training users. This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the business and within the department.

  • Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan, and schedule the engineering maintenance for the plants; prioritize and schedule required preventative maintenance in coordination with the Maintenance Supervisor and Operations Manager to ensure that our plant production lines continue to operate efficiently while minimizing downtime; coordinate any plant wide shutdowns.
  • Periodically audit PMs and work with Maintenance team to ensure PMs accurately reflect current work and parts; align consistent preventative maintenance practices across Sabrosura plant locations to maintain or increase production levels; assist other sites as needed.
  • Analyze the parts inventory system including assistance with parts transactions including Pos, issues, returns, and inventory adjustments. Develop opportunities to kit parts for work to be done. Maintain accurate inventory records, help perform or manage periodic cycle counts and physical inventories; assist buyer in ordering and recommending materials, supplies, and services to support the operation and maintenance of the facility.
  • Utilize and provide expertise with the M+ system to schedule, document, and update all plant maintenance work orders; set up business functions within sites, user set up to establish access and security protocols; manage and update assets within the M+ system; provide ongoing training and development of users to achieve optimum compliance and performance practices; communicate progress against work orders.
  • Work with Maintenance Supervisor to develop then maintain maintenance metrics; set‐up of Business Intelligence (BI) reports establishing metrics to drive process improvement.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance for the M+ system while maintaining the relationship w/M+ and Sabrosura Foods includes contracts and agreements.
  • Back-up to Maintenance Supervisor.
  • All other duties as assigned.
